Strathire Bed and Breakfast

Joyce & Malcolm Harris welcome you to “Strathire”.

Strathire is a delightful Period Property with magnificant views, 500m from the historical town centre of Haslemere, yet set in a secluded leafy environment at the edge of the Town with tidy, well kept, beautiful landscaped gardens of one acre.

The gardens comprise lawns, shrubs and rare specimens of trees and flowers. A large patio of stone with flowering shrubs and colourful pots is adjacent to the House. If the weather is fine the patio can be used to enjoy breakfast, with views accross the tree filled valley to the National Trust hills at Hindhead.

There are magnificant views from all windows of the House which has original features of a wide pannelled hall and impressive hanging staircase. All of the rooms are of excellent size.

The town of Haslemere is situated in a beautiful enclave of the ‘Surrey Hills’ and ‘South Downs’, a region covered in trees. Haslemere is a pretty town with both Georgian and Victorian buildings. It has a fascinating Museum, varied and interesting shops and good eating establishments and close to National Trust Walks on ‘Blackdown’ and is a part of the newly formed National Park.

Indulge yourself in a night or two in this delightful Period Bed & Breakfast country home with a home produced delicious breakfast, superb views, a warm welcome and a home with the emphasis on cleanliness throughout. All rooms are of excellent size with tasteful furnishings.

This is the heart of ‘Lord Tennyson’ country where he lived and wrote many of his poems.
