RSPB have asked us to publicise this volunteering opportunity.
Do you have a few hours to spare every month? We are looking for a friendly and personable person with a high level of motivation and good communication skills. We would like you to manage five or more pin badge boxes in Haslemere. Our enamel badges depicting a large range of wild birds, animals and plants are extremely popular. We will ask you to visit these sites every four weeks (at your convenience), count and bank at any post office or Pay Point location and replenish boxes with pin badges. You will have regular contact and support from an Area Coordinator, who is based in Milford. You will need to be willing to report income to them once a month.
By managing pin badge boxes in shops and busy locations near you, you can potentially raise over £1,000 every year for the RSPB. This is an easy way to raise valuable funds to assist the RSPB’s nature and wildlife conservation work.
This is an enjoyable opportunity to get out and about in your local area to meet people and chat to them about the RSPB and its work. The RSPB is an active and exciting conservation charity, the largest in Europe! We can help you gain skills and give you a valuable insight into our work, as well as provide opportunities to meet other volunteers through annual thank you events, newsletters and social networks.
We would reimburse you for all out- of- pocket expenses, including travel expenses. We will invite you to volunteer thank you events, send you copies of our bi-annual volunteer newsletter, and of course give you ongoing support in your role. Travel expenses include all travel on behalf of the RSPB and up to 25 miles travel to and from work (26p per mile)
